The Ellijas Apple Festival is returning to Halifax this year.
It is the first time the festival will be held in the city since it moved from the city’s waterfront in 2009.
The event was originally planned for March 31 but has been pushed back to March 25.
The festival will feature a variety of musical acts, art exhibits, food and beverages and activities including an ice skating rink and music performances by bands.
Ellijay is a family owned and operated restaurant located at the intersection of Halifax Harbour and St. Johns.
It is known for its unique blend of local and imported foods, along with its handcrafted dishes, artisan-made beer and its signature Ellijoas Apple sauce.
Tickets for the festival go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. and are $60.
The festival also is being hosted by the City of Halifax.
